What Exercise Burns the Most Fat on the Face and Chin?

There are no exercises that specifically burn fat on your face. When you do cardiovascular activity, you will burn fat all over your body. Where you notice it first depends on your genetic make-up and the places your body is programmed to lose and gain weight from. However, some exercises will generally help you burn more calories than others.

Running
According to Rick Morris on the Running Planet website, running burns about twice as many calories as its lower-impact counterpart, walking. This means that you are likely to see the results of a running exercise regimen twice as fast. The other benefit of running for weight loss is that it makes your muscles work hard, which means they quickly develop in strength. Muscles generally use up more calories to function than fat. So, the stronger your muscles are, the more calories they burn – even when you’re not working out.
Evening Exercise
It’s a popular theory that working out first thing in the morning burns more fat because your body has fewer glycogen stores to draw on for energy. However, according to Paul Kendall on the "Daily Mail" website, new research shows this is not necessarily the case. Studies at the Clinical Research Center of the University of Chicago indicate that your body’s metabolism and fitness levels respond better to high-impact – that is, fat-burning – exercise in the evening. However, if you are a morning person, you will still see results of a workout first thing -- it's more important to choose a time that you will stick to long term.

Weight Training
Because bigger muscles burn more calories, it makes sense that strength training can help you burn fat. According to James Chan on BodyBuilding.com, a weights session increases your metabolism for up to 38 hours after you finish the workout, which means you’re still burning calories that whole time. For best results, he suggests using moderate rather than heavy weights and doing a higher number of repetitions.

Exercises You Enjoy
In order for your body to start burning fat instead of glycogen, or carbohydrates, you need to exercise aerobically for at least 30 minutes. To increase your chances of completing half-hour sessions several times a week, choose activities you enjoy doing. According to the ShapeFit website, there are plenty of efficient fat-burning workouts, so you don’t have to limit yourself to just one type of exercise – even within the same session. For example, you could do 15 minutes of running followed by 15 minutes on the rowing machine or stationary bike. Skipping and swimming are also ways to burn a lot of fat.
